A little preparation goes a long way. Here is a simple checklist:
We'll be reinforcing these principles throughout the programme, so your child learns to explore AI responsibly, not just enthusiastically.
AI isn't always right. AI tools can make mistakes or give inaccurate information โ it's important to double-check facts, not just accept answers at face value.
Never share personal information. Full name, address, school, or photos should never be typed into AI tools without a parent or teacher present.
AI is a helper, not a replacement for thinking. Encourage your child to use AI to support their ideas, not to do all the thinking for them.
Not everything AI creates is true or real. Images, videos, and text can be generated to look real. Their critical thinking is key.
Always ask an adult if something feels confusing or uncomfortable. If an AI tool says something strange, upsetting, or inappropriate, they should tell a parent or teacher right away.
All sessions are recorded and posted in the Resource Vault within 24 hours.
